Indonesia An essential stopover between Gunung Bromo and Kawah Ijen Java, East Java, Ijen crater, Mount Bromo, Travel to Indonesia 0 (0)The day is not over yet. We begin the descent, the greenery reappears but the road is in a rather lamentable state, the pace is slow and the journey bumpy. As soon as we left, I asked to stop and take some photos. The “road” can be guessed. The vegetation is beginning to re-dominate. From here the road will be clear and I won't take any more pictures until lunch break...…At the sea. A radical change when you see where you were an hour and a half ago.The other part of the journey will take us back to the mountain after having followed the coast for a while. What surprises me about the state of the road is that it is normally a tourist route, so one could imagine that they maintain it more than that, unless they go by another road… but it doesn't really seem like there is one…In the middle of nowhere. Two or three times we will come across large landslides on the barely cleared road. Then, as the road suddenly improves, we arrive at the coffee plantations.Where we stopped quickly. It is 16:30 p.m., we finally arrive after 8 hours of a long journey, more than half of which was on a road that does not deserve its name and should soon be reclassified as a forest path... The room is not extraordinary but it doesn't matter, it's just a short night because tomorrow we're up again at 4am...Always the arrow indicating the direction of the mosque. The included dinner looks generous but was pretty meh.
