Indonesia Exploring between the Singaraja coast and the lakes of central Bali Bali, Travel to Indonesia 0 (0)Today, I decided to do a loop starting from Ubud (yes, because madam lets herself be carried away…). The goal? To reach the north of Bali by the mountains to Lovina then go back down by going to the area where the most beautiful rice fields of the island are supposed to be.In fact, from Lovina we will not go further than Singaraja. The return also includes a passage near lakes and the temple "Pura Ulun Danu Bratan".Somewhere near Ubud.Green wall.Kite day for these children.Every village, no matter how small, will generally have its own little “supermarket” shop. This is the kind of hole I was referring to the day before yesterday, knowing that this one will only hurt your buttocks at worst, but some are dangerous and on the verge of wrecking the scooter, so be careful. In the middle of the mountains, here on a “peak”, before going back down for a long time…I didn't stop that often because the journey is long and I didn't want to find myself in the situation I was in 2 days ago, this is actually taken right in front of the previous photo.A little further. In the same village. The rain forces us to stop.It had been 3 hours since we left Ubud and we finally saw the sea.Chinese temple by the sea. Paying, we decided not to go there. We stopped for a moment more to rest and walk a little than for the landscape itself. It took us almost an hour of driving around in circles to find the temple we wanted to see. The old lady was selling flowers, here the sarong (and accessories, ribbon for here) is included in the ticket, no hassle. The laughing pig. It seems obvious that the two musician statuettes are recent additions but I don't understand why or how...The crossroads not to be missed to go to the temple, the sign is discreet that's why we couldn't find it...In the middle of getting dressed. Monkeys are present on this part of the island. On the way back we plan to visit a temple on the edge of a lake.If the sunset was beautiful, the temple in question (because there is one here) was not the one I expected…Since we didn't find it, here's what the temple I was looking for looked like...:Photo credit: Konstantinos TrovasIt still looks similar...Thinking I was at Lake Bratan, I think it was actually Lake Buyan, which is not far because there are 3 lakes close to each other in this area. That's all well and good, but apart from missing the planned temple, we're way behind schedule, which I would have liked to stick to...For those who are interested, if in my case it was starting to get dark and I therefore didn't really pay attention to any sign indicating it, the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan was barely 5km away in the direction of the main road that we were following... (that's how much I regret, we could have enjoyed this same sunset with the setting of what looks like a nice temple set on the water). In an hour it was going to be dark, so I had to give up visiting the rice fields and go straight back down to Ubud.Knowing that the next day, we were leaving for the beach near the airport for our last 2 days, I would not have seen the magnificent postcard rice fields... Half-regret, because the weather was not great during this stay anyway and that gives us a good reason to go back! Did you like the article? Vote on the article Note globale 0 / 5.
