A quick hello to let you know that the first photos will be arriving soon, with the accents as a bonus (even if writing without an accent gives a little "local" touch), I could do it on Jitima's computer from which I am writing but given its slowness problems sometimes and then it's a Mac and I prefer PCs, I'm afraid of losing patience working on it...
Apart from that it rains every evening, no doubt it is the rainy season!
These first days are a bit confusing, psychologically you feel like you're no longer a tourist.
On the other hand, what is nice is to find all the little facilities that we have here easily and cheaply, I think for example of the massage, what a treat to suddenly say to yourself, hey I want a massage. No sooner said than done, you just have to go downstairs from our building and you're off for an hour of relaxation.
Another appreciable thing, the food, in addition to being very good, is available everywhere and at all times, the cinema at 2 or 3 euros per session in very good quality theaters, transportation, such as taxis for example, at a lower cost (and which can be much more pleasant depending on the driver than a sad and boring trip in the Parisian metro)
Jitima asked me why in France there is no one in the streets, because it is true that even near the shops towards Malakoff where I lived it was not a hustle and bustle, and well after thinking about it I told myself that it is this side of finding everything everywhere, people here like to meet in the street, stroll, talk, buy, negotiate, eat, there are so many possibilities and things to do that yes there are people outside, and then in France as soon as the weather turns bad, everyone takes shelter, "hides" at home in the winter, here it is hot all the time, and rain is part of everyday life during the season.
A few days later…
Here is an exclusive (yeah, let's not get carried away either...) the very first photo taken on site!
The rain is here to welcome me nice! Well at the same time it's September it's a bit normal...
One of the many shopping malls in Bangkok.
And to recover from my emotions, after having left everything behind in France, a good little film at the cinema at the Emporium (BTS Phrom Phong station), nothing better than a reduced-price screening (100 baht for an excellent room, barely €2!).
We had a good time, we went to see "Mamma Mia", based on the songs of the famous Swedish group Abba. The film is based on the musical of the same name, created by former members of the group. If you have the opportunity to go see it, go for it, you will have a good time (well, you have to like musicals), in any case we had a great time.
