Here we are at the last day of this first visit to Singapore. Well, 3 days goes by quickly, but it's still a good amount of time to visit a city; it allows you to see the essentials without getting bored and might even make you want to come back.
Orchard Road, a shopper's paradise
Orchard Road is to Singapore what Siam is to Bangkok: a concentration of department stores and boutiques where you can spend all that hard-earned money.
Today, we had the opportunity to take a stroll through the shopping centres while taking some tasting breaks, without forgetting a little detour through the small side streets, which are home to beautiful old-fashioned houses, just a few steps from the shops lining the famous thoroughfare.
It was while we were quickly popping into a shop that I noticed a street across the street that looked nice. Seeing all the grumpy shop assistants in the shop, we quickly left to take a stroll down this alley, just to see something other than shopping malls.

After that, it was time to pack up. We decided once again to go to our hotel by taxi, because although there is a metro in Singapore, the nearest station is 900 m from our hotel, I admit, we were lazy…
