Vang Vieng to Vientiane by bus: return to the capital

And yes, it was a very short stay in Vang Vieng, just one espresso day (What else?) but let's not forget that we are not on vacation in the strict sense.

So that day, we had to endure the four-hour drive on bumpy, dusty roads again. We'll still take our time before settling down in a restaurant, more precisely in its pastry section (on the same street as our hotel).

It was really good, it was on that day that we learned on their TV of Whitney Houston's death, that was the "anecdote" of the day…

The Vang Vieng bus station isn't very far from the center, but since we didn't know the distance and had our luggage, we took a tuk-tuk to get there directly. We crossed what looked like a wide, unpaved track resembling a highway, and there we were.

Opposite the bus station, there's a kind of wide track which I suppose was intended to be, or will one day be, a motorway…

We bought our tickets there and then just had to wait for the bus. That's where things got a little complicated because the organization was a bit of a mess… We had to ask several times with each arriving bus to make sure it was the right one because there was no clear indication of where each vehicle was going…

Once back in Vientiane, we will return to the same guesthouse (Heuan Lao GH) and will not do anything else for the day, because it was already relatively late and because a little rest was not refused. We will return to the restaurant Les Dix Délices (in Setthathirath Rd)

If the miss returned to Bangkok immediately, I, for my part, had the entire following day to visit the capital of Laos.
