And yes, this stay in Vang Vieng was very short, just one expresso day (What else?) but let's not forget that we are not on vacation strictly speaking. So today we were recovering from the 4 hours of bumpy and dusty roads. We will still take our time before stopping in a restaurant, more precisely in its pastry section (on the same street as our hotel). It was very good, it is there that day that we will learn on their TV the death of Whitney Houston, it was the "anecdote" of the day...
The Vang Vieng bus station is not very far from the center but we don't know where and with our luggage we took a tuk tuk to take us there. We crossed a kind of wide track that looked like an unpaved highway and there we were. We bought our ticket on site and had to wait for the bus. There things got a bit complicated because in terms of organization it was a bit of a rout... We had to ask each bus that arrived several times to find out if it was the right bus (each one was a big VIP bus for the return trip)
Once back in Vientiane, we will return to the same guesthouse (Heuan Lao GH) and will not do anything else for the day, because it was already relatively late and because a little rest was not refused. We will return to the restaurant Les Dix Délices (in Setthathirath Rd)
For my part, I had the whole day of the next day to visit the capital of Laos.
