As I had indicated when I arrived, the rain is here, for all those who would think of coming to Thailand in September/October, here is what the streets of Bangkok might look like after a good storm.

No, no, it's not a klong, but rather the road we're driving on.

It’s not easy to move around in these conditions.

Fortunately, the sidewalks are intentionally quite raised, which allows you to walk in dry conditions (more or less).

When I discovered Thailand in 2006, I certainly didn't expect to settle down there 2 years later! Since then, I've been based in Bangkok and regularly travel throughout the country (especially in the north!). I share my stories, photos, and tips to help plan your trip to Thailand and other Asian countries. This blog is for anyone who wants to discover the land of smiles, who's looking for a bit of adventure, and those who dream of Asia.

I went to Thailand at the edge of the rainy season and even when there were showers it wasn't always easy but not to this extent anyway. As I want to go back there one day it's good to know not to do it at this time!

hello rely lucky (but no you just gave yourself the means and that's good).
So I see that you are getting used to Thai life (and no longer as a tourist).
rain! rain! and yes there is no shortage of it at this time of year,
but hey, I also think that it's another view of Thailand than the eternal sun.
and no it rains and it is even cold at certain times and in certain places.
me after my visit to kroug thep, heading north with nok
and not too much rain, but the time we decided to go for a little walk to see some caves, we suddenly found ourselves under torrential rain and of course slik tires on the motosill, so we stopped on the way in the forest to take shelter with leaves, but in the end we were as soaked as without anything.
After 10 minutes without change we resumed the road at 10 km/h,
to finally find a shelter waiting for us. Once the downpour had passed we continued on our planned route.
but arrived at the lower caves, still soaked and stone stairs as far as the eye could see very slippery, nok was not up for getting our faces smashed every two walks so we went back without visiting the caves on the kilometers that the return represented and at the bottom we dried out but we will put this walk off for another time (but without rain)
