In this second part of the day we therefore join Lampang to Sukhothai, a journey of about 3 hours (and a few), without counting the stops obviously. The timing was relatively good because we arrived in time to visit the northern part of the Sukhothai park (outside the main enclosure)

If you are looking for figurines for your garden, you will be served.

Foggy view of the historic park from the northern part (which requires a different ticket than the main area) We arrived just before the site closed (16:30 p.m.) but since traffic was by car and it was deserted, we still visited after 16:30 p.m. as there was no one there...

I was right here with Jitima just 9 months ago.

I can't help but point out that as I type this I have a Tahitian song in my headphones, not really in the "Thai" mood at all...LOL

In this area, there are mostly ruins in poor condition, of which there is not much left...

The moats are used for “decoration” now…

As we go to stock up on snacks and water, we can feel that we are very close to the New Year...

The hotel for this first night is in Sukhothai town (the new one) because it is closer to the Si Satchanalai park north of Sukhothai where we will go the next day (about 50km from there)
